The Canadian Quality Criteria, developed by the National Quality Institute (NQI) is a comprehensive, practical and well-tested framework for improvement. Based on the Quality Principles, the original private sector Criteria has been adapted for the public sector as well. The Criteria forms the basis for the evaluation of Manitoba Quality Awards and Canada Awards for Excellence programs, and is used by organizations in all sectors across Canada. QNET, as a strategic partner of the NQI, distributes copies of the criteria in Manitoba.
